A recent impromptu photo session with my friend JJ’s cats proved to be quite enjoyable! Here’s a little video I shot while taking a break from snapping photos:

Thank you!

Thanks to everyone who emailed, called, texted, poked, and sent me birthday wishes! It was a furiously busy weekend for me with the amazing Harvey Milk concert sharing my birthday, Kenny making a surprise visit, taking Lincoln to the airport, a photo shoot, Kenny’s birthday, and rehearsal. Needless to say, I’ve been swamped with so many things to do, but as always I find joy in trying to fill my life with excitement and, well, life! My Whitman music is nearly complete, and although it won’t be ready to premiere on Whitman’s next birthday anniversary, I will definitely get a recording before summer ends! Stay tuned!

Easter Earthquake in L.A.

Easter Sunday was filled with excitement, including an earthquake. Here’s the shake from my 13th-Floor loft:

Coughing the night away

They say one should not toss and turn in bed; that one should get out of bed and go someplace else to twiddle thumbs whilst waiting for sleep and heavy eye lids as a cue to return to the box spring. So here I am, patiently and eagerly waiting for my cue to hurry back and try to sleep.

This weekend has been nothing but sleep and more sleep as I tried to give my body plenty of rest to fight this cold, but now it just seems to be getting worse! My throat itches, and thankfully my big-ass hands won’t fit down my throat to scratch the fuck out of that itch! My lungs are starting to ache, and i can only hope that I’ll be healthy and in good voice for an Easter gig I promised a friend I’d do.

The good thing about being home bound this weekend was being able to finish my composition for male chorus. I need to finish the 2nd one before coordinating a reading with some of my trusty and talented musician-friends.

Yay! I just had a nice yawn… Perhaps it’s time to prepare for the bed. Until next time…
